Jo Sonja® Matte Flow Acrylics are flow formula acrylics offering the opacity of colour and the beautiful, velvet matte finish associated with traditional gouache with superb handling and brushing characteristics. Unlike gouache, they are water-resistant and will not chip or crack when cured and colour layering can be achieved easily throughout a painting, as the paints dry in minutes.
Made from the finest quality pure pigments, the colours will remain vibrant and true for generations. They are safe, water based and clean up easily with soap and water.
These easy to use paints and are two to three times stronger than bottled craft colours. As well as being permanent, these lightfast and highly pigmented paints reveal a beautiful smooth finish and are fantastic for detailed work, and are great for beginner and seasoned artists alike. All colours in the range are lightfast and carry ASTM ratings as your guarantee against colour fade.
Jo Sonja’s Decorative Painting System developed as a result of collaboration between innovative paint company, Chroma (the Australian company that makes Atelier Interactive), and renowned American Folk Artist, Jo Sonja Jansen. This partnership has made these paints popular with folk artists, decorative painters and crafters as well as fine artists. You can combine these acrylic paints with Jo Sonja’s mediums to paint onto wood, metal, fabric and glass.
