Atelier Fast Medium Fixer
Atelier Fast Fixer Medium is ideal when you have no time to wait for your painting to dry. It speeds up drying time and is great for achieving glazing techniques and applying thin layers of colour. Suitable for traditional painting techniques.
Dries fast and waterproof for traditional acrylic techniques. Atelier Fast Fixer Medium can be used to seal completed dry paintings before varnishing. It toughens paint layers making it perfect for hardening tender layers of colour for scraping techniques.

Atelier Retarder 250ml
Atelier Retarder slows down the drying process when added to artists’ acrylic paint and mediums.
Retarder is particularly useful when painting wet-over-wet or wet-over-dry techniques. Retarder Medium makes blending your acrylic paint colours easier and may be added to other Atelier Mediums to increase their working time.
When large amounts of Retarder Medium are used, acrylic colours may be reactivated when overpainted.
Retarder does not contain a binding agent – so do not any more than 10% to your paint or you can under bind the paint.
After a few days, the Atelier Retarder Medium itself evaporates, leaving the performance of the dry paint film unchanged. Clean up with mild soap and cool water. Water based, non toxic.

Atelier Clear Painting Medium 250ml
Atelier Clear Painting Medium allows paint to spread over a surface and dilutes viscosity for more blendable gradations of acrylic colour.
It can be used to prevent runs in diluted paint.
Use on its own as a textural aid between paint layers, providing depth & dimension.
Quite viscous, can be used as a glaze – thicker than the Glazing Medium.
Can be used to make a tint if you add a little pigment
Especially useful for working wet-in-dry techniques.
Atelier Binder Medium dries fast and is waterproof for use with acrylics.
Recommended to prepare and seal surfaces in preparation for painting with acrylics or oils. As a surface ground it promotes good adhesion of the paint and prevents loss of moisture into the substrate and provides a clear, smooth, non-gritty surface.
This medium can also be used to isolate and protect touch-dry layers of your painting so techniques like scratch back, glazing and varnishing can be done safely without lifting paint layers.
May be added directly to paint to increase gloss and create translucent layers, create a tougher paint layer or shorten drying time. Can also be used as an adhesive for collage. Water based and dries to a flexible film.
Use with Atelier Interactive acrylics and other artists’ acrylics.
Atelier Heavy Gel Gloss Impasto Medium
The Atelier Heavy Gel Gloss Medium (previously called Impasto Gel) is a thick acrylic gel that is designed to exaggerate structure and sharpen textural edges of the paint, while increasing the gloss levels. It’s milky colour becomes transparent once dry.
Mix with your paint to increase the body for thick impasto painting with a palette knife. The thick consistency holds sharp peaks. Apply directly on top of the paint layer for a transparent textural effect.
It is also a very effective glue for collage.

Atelier Liquid Gesso Primer
Atelier Liquid Gesso Primer is perfect when you need a smooth surface to paint on. It offers a thinner consistency than traditional gesso primers. Dries to a thin flexible white film. Preparing your surface before you begin painting is fundamental in the painting process. It allows adhesion to the painting surface, a longer working time and maintains the quality of the paint after dry.
Atelier Gloss Medium Dries fast and waterproof for traditional acrylic techniques. Use with Atelier Interactive and other artists’ acrylics.
Used for adding translucency, flow and gloss to acrylic artists’ paints. Ideal for glazing and extending colours. Promotes flow and levelling. Gloss Medium can be added to the paint in any ratio to achieve the desired consistency and translucency. When mixed with Atelier Interactive it will prevent touch-dry paint from re-wetting. Can be mixed with the paint as a medium or used to seal a paint layer prior to over-painting.

Atelier Matte Varnish
Atelier Matte Varnish can be used as a final varnish for artists’ acrylics to protect artwork and reduce gloss levels. (Please note this product was previously named Atelier Matte Medium and Varnish)
The Atelier Matte varnish dries fast and waterproof and gives an even matte finish while maintaining colour intensity.
When the varnish is applied it appears milky but dries clear.
May be overpainted when dry. Non-removable.
Can be mixed with acrylic paint as a fluid medium to dilute the paint, toughen layers and reduce gloss. Also useful as a transparent matte glue in collage work.
