• Discover how to simplify your subject/reference image to create a textured painting.
• Choose from a variety of subjects such as Flowers, Landscapes, Seascapes, Water Lilies, or Animals.
• Bring your own reference image or use one provided by the workshop.
• Learn about the pressure needed to apply the medium to achieve the best results.
• Work with oils during the workshop; Tracy will guide students on the mediums needed for impasto in acrylic as well.
• Explore different impasto mediums to achieve a range of effects.
• Create a coloured ground and apply the impasto medium to the right ratio for optimal results.
• Add detail and effects to your impasto paintings after applying the impasto medium.
• Experiment with various palette knife shapes provided during the workshop to discover different effects and choose your preferred painting knives.

What To Bring:

You can purchase what you need on the day, so don't go out shopping to find items.

We recommend purchasing your canvas on the day so you can select the desired size based on the reference image you select to paint. If you already have a canvas you would like to use at home you can bring this with you.
