"I have learnt the ability to create a stunning piece of art..."
I have always enjoyed being creative and trying new things, so I jumped at the chance to try the Close Focus Flowers oil painting workshop to gain a new creative skill. I thoroughly enjoyed learning the step by step process of how to paint beautiful flowers with oils. I was astonished on how simple it actually is. I found Tracy to be very supportive and encouraging throughout the workshop and I am looking forward to further workshops with her in future to further my skills. I learnt I have the ability to create a stunning piece of art for myself, friends, or even for selling!

"I saw Tracy transform the class from a majority of first time painters, to a class of artists"
I needed to challenge myself by attempting something out of much comfort zone. The course had a great atmosphere, and even when the pressure was on Tracy made me feel relaxed and able to achieve what I set out to do. I saw Tracy transform the class from a majority of first time painters, to a class of artists, producing magnificent pieces of art. It was brilliant to see what she could do in three days, with the class. The impossible was possible and I painted the large Dahlia in oils. A medium I have never used and believed I could not work with. Tracy convinced and encouraged me and I am now on my third huge oil painting and loving every moment I get to paint.

Tracy has a wealth of knowledge and is extremely good at sharing this. I have learnt so much and am so pleased with how once I got started I was able to get back into the enjoyment of painting. I learnt a lot - from the very beginning of the course - on how to trace, through to painting techniques, holding the brush etc. It was absolutely brilliant being with like minding people and to have Tracy teaching us. I wouldn't change a thing.
I wanted to try a new medium (water mixable oils) and hoped to bring home a large painting. Tracy is a brilliant teacher and helped me every step of the way. The small size of the class meant we all had lots of individual help and we all bonded as a group. Great atmosphere to be creative in. I learnt how to use the water mixable oils and all the techniques needed to produce a painting I will be happy to hang on the wall.
I recommend Tracy's workshop, you will be amazed at what you can create with a little guidance. I felt overwhelmed at the start but Tracy just repeated the simple steps, and techniques to us, and it all came together one petal at a time. I learnt the importance of values in your artwork, stepping back and looking over your work and mixing colours. I am very proud of my first artwork. I'm feeling more confident and excited to do another.
